WHAT IS THE WELLBEING TICK?

It’s a workplace accreditation programme for organisations that are committed to the wellbeing of their people and ready to make systemic changes to the way they’re working.

It’s based on an award-winning and globally researched wellbeing framework, designed to raise the bar and set the standard for best practice globally.

The programme really gets under the hood of your organisation to challenge old-school thinking, below-the-line behaviour and unhealthy ways of working.

Whether your organisation is just dipping its toes into the world of workplace wellbeing, or you’re looking to strengthen your existing wellbeing strategy for greater impact, the Wellbeing Tick is a guide for improvement.

Workplaces are provided with the Wellbeing Tick accreditation assessment criteria to guide them through a robust yet easy to follow framework. The Wellbeing Tick is then awarded to workplaces that provide evidence towards the seven key pillars of wellbeing and show a genuine and high level of care for their people.

  • Don’t just take our word for it. Read what people have to say after working with our founder, Philly Powell.

“Phillippa is a thought-leader and disruptor in the Wellbeing space, with a giant heart for people. I’m thrilled to see this initiative and the Wellbeing Tick couldn’t be in better hands” Sarah Laurie, Founder of Take a Breath.

  • Shaun Philp | Chief People Officer | Chorus

“Phillippa was accountable for and led the programme of work to deliver Chorus’ Belonging strategy. In a world experiencing a global pandemic, critical to that strategy, was the focus on Wellbeing. In 2021 the Chorus Wellbeing programme was nationally recognised as the “Best Wellbeing Programme” at the HRD, HRNZ and Wellington Gold Awards, a major achievement and testament to Phillippa’s passion for Corporate Wellbeing. I am very supportive of the brave step Phillippa has taken to launch the Wellbeing Tick, as she looks to increase her impact in the wellbeing space to include other NZ businesses”

  • Kim Culpan | Head of Culture & Capability | NZ Post

“Philly is a passionate advocate for all things wellbeing and leads by example every day. She has invaluable experience from building a corporate wellbeing programme from the ground up, developing it into an award-winning programme that employees truly value. Philly will challenge the status quo, continually seeking opportunities to do even better for people and for the business. If you are early in your wellbeing journey I would recommend talking to Philly about ways in which the Wellbeing Tick can support you today.”

  • Jimi Hunt | Mental Fitness Change Maker

“It’s almost criminal to not focus on wellbeing in the workplace these days. Having worked with Philly and observed her level of devotion to creating mentally-healthy workplace culture, I have no doubt that the Wellbeing Tick will help shift the dial and significantly help kiwi businesses move up the mental fitness continuum”

  • Jared Slight | Mental Fitness Network Lead | Chorus

“I told Philly to take a moment to reflect on what had been an incredibly successful career at Chorus, topped off with the icing on the cake (Gold Award for Best Wellness Programme) in her last week. She was the driving force behind that success”

  • Dr Fiona Crichton | Health Psychology Specialist and Clinical Team Lead | Mentemia

“Philly is a superstar in the realm of organisational development, particularly when it comes to Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion. She stands out because of her compassion, her ability to create a sense of belonging and fun, and her proven capacity to deliver initiatives that genuinely improve wellbeing in the workplace. Count yourself lucky if you get to work with the talented and innovative Philly - she is making positive waves in the world of wellbeing”

  • Kellie Cowper | Wellbeing Lead | Chorus

“I was continuously blown away on how far we evolved as a company, creating an industry leading Wellbeing Programme. Our core Mental Fitness team know this was down to Philly’s passion and commitment to drive the programme. She truly believes in what she is doing and her support and leadership in this area is the key to our success. I am proud to have worked with Philly”

  • Sara Shea | GM People, Capability & Culture | Selwyn District Council

“I love how pragmatic and simple the framework is and how you explained it in a way that didn’t overwhelm me with jargon/research/statistics”

  • Leonie Henderson | Wellbeing Lead | Chorus

“I almost hit rock bottom. I was feeling distraught and helpless. It got to a stage after lockdown when I said “ENOUGH”. I read a Courageous Kōrero which gave me hope and used the mental health tools available to start focussing on myself again. Now I am back on track and feel pretty awesome. I AM enough! Without the wellbeing programme created by (Philly’s) leadership, I would have been a statistic. Workplace wellbeing does save lives”
